Recreation on the North Umpqua, is something very special.

North Umpqua River . Come experience a world class guided whitewater rafting
trip on the Scenic and Wild North Umpqua River for an adventure, ride the rapids, enjoying beautiful scenery while having a day or weekend full of excitement.
Kayak or canoe down this enchanting river taking in all it's beauty. Perfect for your family is the
mild float from Idleyld Park to Colliding Rivers in Glide designed for the whole
family to enjoy. Hike or Mountain Bike the famous North Umpqua
Trail. Take a break and soak in the natural hot springs.
Be sure to bring your camera along for all the beautiful scenery and wildlife on the trail.
For a shorter trip, go to one of the many waterfalls on the National Scenic Byway 138 or on the Little River Highway. A cyclist's favorite is biking to Diamond Lake and Crater Lake National Park.
Throughout the area you'll find many state parks with picnic areas, camping,
swimming, and fishing along trails. The North Umpqua River is internationally known for
the fly fishing waters. The main stem is great for drift boat fishing or drop your line in at the "Narrows" for a day of
fishing from the banks.
